Springfield | Daniel Good is the new Collegiate Ministry Catalyst, a part-time role created this year to help create and manage church partnerships strategically reaching students on Illinois university campuses. He began work in his new position January, 15.
Good will continue to serve as lead pastor of Cornerstone Church in Savoy, where he has been leading the church to engage students at nearby University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is originally from Colorado, and was active in campus ministry as a student at the University of Wyoming. Good holds a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Seminary, and is currently working on a D.Min. in church revitalization.

During a panel discussion at the 2025 IBSA Annual Meeting, Executive Director Nate Adams (left) moderated a conversation about college ministry with pastors Daniel Good and Paul Cooper and college campus ministry leader Jonah Christensen.
“Daniel will do a great job. We’re excited that he’s joined the team, “IBSA Church Planting Director Kevin Jones said. “Daniel is a really solid young leader with a missional heart. He loves the church, loves college students, and he already has great relationships with many of the current campus ministry leaders around the state,” Jones added.
The Collegiate Ministry Catalyst is the next step in IBSA’s renewed efforts to expand Illinois Baptist collegiate ministries. The college ministry investment was announced at the September 2025 IBSA Board meeting and followed up with a special emphasis at November’s IBSA Annual Meeting.
“We can’t reach 176 campuses next year, but we can do more than we are doing now,” Executive Director Nate Adams said, during a panel discussion where Good was one of three college ministry leaders joining Adams on stage.
IBSA increased collegiate ministry by 66 percent in this year’s budget and currently has strategic partnerships on four Illinois University campuses with plans for expansion.
