Nashville | The time for submitting resolutions for the 2025 SBC Annual Meeting has come. Per SBC bylaw 20, April 1 marked the opening of the resolutions portal for those interested in submitting resolutions to be considered at this summer’s gathering in Dallas.
“As we begin the 2025 resolutions process, we invite Southern Baptists from every corner of our Convention to prayerfully participate,” said 2025 Committee on Resolutions Chairman Andrew Walker. “Our resolutions offer a unique opportunity to speak with biblical clarity and conviction on the pressing cultural matters of our day. But more than that, they serve as a witness to the hope we have in Christ. In a world often marked by confusion and despair, our resolutions not only reflect our deeply held beliefs but must also shine with the truth and beauty of the Gospel.”
Resolutions can be submitted to the committee starting today and no later than 20 days prior to the annual meeting, meaning they must be received before May 22. All submitted resolutions must be accompanied by a church membership verification form.
The Committee on Resolutions will meet well in advance of the annual meeting with an initial report being made public no later than 10 days prior to the meeting and a final report appearing in the daily bulletin on the first day messengers gather in Dallas on June 10.
The portal also offers a submission path for those without internet access. Those without access to a computer may contact the office of the vice president for Convention administration at the SBC Executive Committee to receive a proper submittal form.
Online submissions can be made here.
The 2025 SBC Annual Meeting is scheduled for June 10-11 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.
