IBSA Annual Meeting and Pastors Conference videos now online

IBSA Annual Meeting and Pastors Conference videos now online

November 10, 2022 By Lisa Misner

If you missed the November 1-3 IBSA Annual Meeting and Pastors Conference or simply wanted another opportunity to hear a speaker’s message, you can watch it anytime via video recordings available online.

All Annual Meeting and Pastors Conference session videos have been posted to the 2022 IBSA Annual Meeting and Pastors Conference Vimeo site at https://vimeo.com/showcase/2022ibsaam. Sessions are also embedded through the ACTS2 app and can be found at www.ibsaannualmeeting.org/watch.

The sessions were all held at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville. The Pastors Conference theme, “Unspeakable Joy,” was based on 1 Peter 1:8 and featured speakers included Fred Luter, pastor, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, New Orleans; Cam Triggs, pastor, Grace Alive Church, Orlando; and Doug Munton, pastor, First Baptist Church, O’Fallon.

The IBSA Annual Meeting theme, “Thrive 22: Each Church a Missionary,” encouraged churches to fulfill God’s plan for them to reach their communities with the gospel. The Meeting featured messages from IBSA Director of Church Planting and founding pastor of Metro Community, Paul Westrook, and IBSA President Heath Tibbetts, who serves as pastor of First Baptist Church Machesney Park.

Among the five full-time staff and two contract workers terminated to save money, two were heads of ethnic ministries. For a denomination that has seen significant growth among ethnic groups and language ministries […]

‘But not here’: Illinois’ cry one year after Roe ended

Lisa Misner

“A new and vibrant culture of life is being established in our nation after decades of death caused by Roe v. Wade,” the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s Brent Leatherwood said at the one-year anniversary of overturning Roe in June. “That is worth celebrating.” Culture of life? In other states perhaps, but not here. Not […]
